Grants and fellowships to USA, Canada, and International researchers at nonprofit organizations and institutions for research that expands knowledge of glaucoma and addresses prevention and treatment. Funding is intended to help support studies that spearhead new research that could lead to new treatments and ways of managing risk factors. Preference is made for exciting pilot projects that would not, at their present stage, be competitive for large government or industry awards.
Standard Awards: The standard award provides significant funding for researchers who have already generated some amount of preliminary data, but are often required to demonstrate additional, significant progress before they can apply to governmental or industrial funding agencies.
Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards: Postdoctoral fellowship awards are intended for young researchers in their final stages of mentored training. This fellowship is available to researchers within four years of degree conferral or end of residency or fellowship.
