Awards to Summit County, Colorado individuals, organizations, and businesses to recognize outstanding charitable support and volunteerism within their community. Awards are intended to honor residents that have shown commitments through financial support, dedication, leadership, motivation, community service, and charitable responsibility.

Each November in honor of National Philanthropy Day, The Summit Foundation recognizes outstanding community members through its Annual Philanthropy Awards. Modeled after national and state celebrations in which residents are honored for their contributions to their community, Summit County Philanthropy Awards has been celebrated annually since 1991. 

The following awards are available:

  • Outstanding Board Member
  • Outstanding Business and/or Corporation
  • Outstanding Citizen
  • Outstanding Educator
  • Outstanding Nonprofit/Community/Government Organization
  • Dr. Oliver Stonington Outstanding Philanthropist
  • Outstanding Professional in a Nonprofit Organization
  • Outstanding Volunteer
  • Outstanding Youth
  • David Albright Outstanding Youth Mentor

The Summit Foundation accepts nominations for and from Summit County individuals, organizations and businesses.

Pre-Application Information:

Nominations are due no later than 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019.

Recicpients will be honored at the Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center on Thursday, November 21 at 5:30 PM.
