01/31/19
Grants of $200 to Northern Cook County, Illinois schools, park districts, and churches offering formal preschool programs in eligible areas. Funding is intended for new or established early childhood programs in one of the Fund's member communities that focus on recycling as a means of reducing waste. Funds can be be used for, but are not limited to, reusable beverage cups, mugs or bottles; reusable food trays or containers; indoor/outdoor recycling bins; composting bins and related equipment; or dry-erase boards.
The mission of the Agency's Waste Reduction Grant Program is to provide guidance, funds, and resources that assist schools with understanding their waste streams so that waste reduction (reduce, reuse, and recycling) measures can be identified and implemented.
