Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants to Augusta, Georgia public school teachers to help fund cultural field trips that enhance student education. Funding may be used towards field trips to cultural and historic attractions, as well as theatrical performances. Eligible expenses transportation costs and admission fees. The goal of this program is to connect students to local educational opportunities.

The Junior League of Augusta Field Trip Fund is open to all Title 1 schools and provides funding towards busses, drivers and admission to CSRA museums, cultural/historic attractions and theatrical performances. The near-elimination of field trip and travel resources in public schools has caused a major reduction in field trips funded through the school system.

The JLA is excited to help meet a need. The JLA believes that field trips give students the freedom to explore, think differently outside the classroom and experience the great sense of adventure.
