Grants of up to $50,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for capacity building and to support services that assist disadvantaged individuals. Funding is intended for initiatives that will make a significant impact on the lives of those in need, including helping disadvantaged youth and homeless individuals, as well as supporting the adoption of orphans and foster children.
Priority for funding is based on the degree of difference the project will make in the lives of people in need and the cost per individual helped. This is a useful yardstick to use in evaluating the likelihood that a proposed project will receive funding. In its mission to make a difference in the lives of people in need, the Swett Foundation is seeking to provide the funding to non-profit organizations that will be pivotal to the organization's mission.
Organizations successful at obtaining grants from the Swett Foundation tend to those that provide evidence that their project will be successful, that the budget for the project has been accurately prepared and researched fully, and that the project could not be funded out of their existing resources.

The Swett Foundation is always eager to explore new ways to make a difference so is anxious to hear of new possibilities. If your project represents a new venture for the Foundation, please do not be discouraged from applying.

Grant amounts will be dependent upon the Foundation's financial status but generally do not usually exceed $50,000 unless in case of exceptional qualifications.
