Grant Description
Grants of up to $1,000 to Arkansas community-based organizations, governmental agencies, and institutions to host short-term artist residencies that enrich the lives of adult participants. Funding is intended to retain the services of professional artists who will provide quality arts learning experiences. Arts activities that include hands-on activities are encouraged. An in-service workshop may also be included in the mini-residency program. Artists must be listed on the Arts in Education Artist Roster.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Community-based or governmental organizations and institutions may apply.

Under these guidelines, funding for organizations is not available for:
- Deficits or start-up costs for new organizations
- Contingency funds
- Contributions and donations to other organizations or individuals
- Building renovations or capital expenditures for facilities
- Entertainment expenses, including busses for field trips, tickets to performances, or refreshments
- Tuition for academic study or any form of scholarship or student financial aid
- Faulty salaries, and additionally, staff salaries in Arts in Education grants
- Lobbying expenses
- Interest and other financial costs

Pre-Application Information
The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023.

Grants require matching funding.

It is recommended that applicants speak with the appropriate grant program manager before submitting any Arkansas Arts Council grant application.

Applicants must be registered with SAM.gov and have a valid UEI number.

Applicants may receive a maximum of $1,000.
