ISERD and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi)

Grants to Israel, Germany, and International companies for collaborative research and development projects that focus on the development of innovative applications and commercial products. Applicants are required to contact staff prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to support ready-to-market solutions for products and technology-based services and methods that have a strong market potential for Europe, Israel, and Germany.
ISERD and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) will provide access to public funding for joint projects provided by The Innovation Authority and by BMWi’s ZIM program (Central Innovation Program for SMEs), respectively. Grants will be awarded for R&D projects in all technological and application areas. Partners apply for their R&D project for a EUREKA label, a pan European network for market-oriented R&D.

- For German projects: Support is rendered in the form of a conditional grant amounting up to 55% of the project costs, which are restricted to 380,000 € per industrial partner.
- For Israel projects: The support is in the form of a conditional grant amounting generally up to 50% (and regional incentives for companies located in "development zone ") of the eligible R&D budget.
German projects: It is possible to begin a research project at the applicant’s own risk after receiving a confirmation of the receipt of the funding application from AiF Projekt GmbH.
