Grants to Mukilteo, Washington nonprofit organizations and public agencies for projects and events that will improve the general well-being of the local community or promote economic development. Applications are invited from community-based organizations operating within the City for the following purposes:

-Promote, support and expand existing and new Mukilteo special events and festivals
-Provide funds to promote, publicize, and support and/or expand economic development programs in Mukilteo
-Provide funding for projects that promote the general health or well-being of the community

Community Support funds can be used for tangible operational items to help support an event/program such as ads in the local newspaper, purchase of signboards, or flyers.

Project requests that are cooperative in nature (co-sponsored by two or more agencies) will receive higher priority in the selection process.

Projects may begin on or after January 1, 2018 and end no later than December 31, 2018.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The program is open to any public or private organization.

Qualifying organizations can include nonprofit volunteer groups, neighborhood groups, educational organizations, public agencies and Chamber of Commerce.

With limited exceptions, organizations must be based in Mukilteo.

Proof of general liability insurance with $1,000,000/occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate is required with the application. In some circumstances, the City may waive this requirement.

Community Support funds cannot be used to offset nonprofit operational and maintenance costs.

Pre-Application Information:

The application must demonstrate that the organization will supply at least 25% of the project cost. The matching requirement may be met by cash or in-kind services, or a combination of both. Volunteer time can be calculated and considered as an in-kind match.

Applications are due by November 30, 2017, 4:30 PM (Pacific Time).
