Grants to Guilford County, North Carolina nonprofit organizations and government agencies for programs and projects that will benefit local residents. Eligible focus areas include human services, human relations, education, economic development, historic preservation, cultural arts, and other charitable purposes.
Grants are awarded for new initiatives, expansion of current programs and activities, capital improvements, special projects, and other operating needs.

Normally, grants are made for one year only; however, multi-year grants will be considered.
Nonprofit organizations that have qualified for tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or public governmental units may apply.
The applicant must be based in Guilford County or requesting funds for a project in Guilford County.
Normally, the Foundation does not support campaigns to raise or increase the size of endowments or annual fund solicitations.

Prior to submitting an application for a grant, applicants may discuss their proposal with the Foundation's staff either by email, telephone or in person.
The Foundation Board of Directors normally meets three times annually to consider applications for grants.
