Grants of up to $15,000 to Colorado nonprofit organizations that provide services to immigrants and refugees. Preference is given to organizations that prioritize underserved populations including in both urban and rural areas, as well as organizations that integrate a culturally relevant lens into their services and programs. Funding is intended to support general operations, build social cohesion, and improve the capacity and skills of immigrant leaders.

Current focus areas for CIFC include:

  • Increasing immigrant leaders who can help shape better community environments and support improved models for immigrant integration
  • Continue to support immigrant/refugee serving organizations through general operating support or capacity building support that leads to sustainability
  • Support of projects/activities that contribute to social cohesion. LCFC encourages interconnected work between organizations, individuals, and the community at large.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The LCFC anticipates grants between $10,000 and $15,000.

Term of Contract:

The anticipated grant period is from November 1, 2021 to October 30, 2022.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Applying Organization must be a Colorado-based 501c3 or have a fiscal agent who is a 501c3
- Organizations that devote the majority of their services (over 51%) to Immigrants and Refugees
- Organizations with operating budgets under $500,000

- Organizations that emphasize serving underserved populations including in both rural and urban areas.
- Organizations that integrate a culturally relevant lens into their services and programs.

Pre-Application Information:

- September 15, 2021: Grant proposal application opens
- October 11, 2021, 11:59 PM, MDT: Deadline for completed submissions
- October 29, 2021: Grant Recipients will be notified
- November 2021: Grant awards mailed or made via ACH
