Grant Description
Grants to Florida nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational entities, and individuals to promote arts and cultural activities. Funding is intended for arts-based programs, projects, series, or exhibitions. Funding categories include arts and cultural projects, arts in education, arts in underserved communities, and discipline-based cultural or artistic projects.

The Division offers four proposal types:

  • Arts in Education projects promote arts and culture in education; There are four funding categories for Arts in Education Projects:
    1. Artist Residency,
    2. Arts Partnership,
    3. Artist Performances on Tour and
    4. Teaching Artists. 
  • Discipline-Based cultural or artistic projects;
  • Underserved Cultural Community Development projects assist with the development of underserved cultural organizations;
  • Artist Projects provide public benefit through the creation or presentation of new artistic work.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following basic eligibility requirements at the time of application.
1. All current and previous grantees must be in good standing with the Division of Cultural Affairs and the Department of State at the time of application.
2. Applicant organization must be either a public entity or a Florida non-profit, tax-exempt corporation as of the application deadline.
3. All organizations must have at least one year of completed arts and cultural programming and be able to provide their last completed fiscal year’s operating budget.
4. Applicant must have registered with the Division of Corporations, and their status be “active,” as of the application deadline (
5. Applicant must be registered as a vendor with the Department of Financial Services, and be able to provide a copy of their Florida Substitute W-9 form (
6. Applicant must provide their UEI number at the time of application (
