Grants of up to $300 to Indiana teachers in eligible areas for education enrichment initiatives. The purpose of funding is to provide students with valuable learning experiences that are not included in school budgets. Eligible initiatives include class projects, field trips, music or art instruction, programs, educational materials, speakers, seminars, and other uses at the discretion of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. Creative proposals are encouraged. The more creative a project is, the better its chances of receiving funding. Funding is intended for teachers working in Jay County.

Estimated Size of Grant:

$300 or less.

Term of Contract:

Once a grant is received, the Foundation anticipates that the funds shall be expended during the calendar year awarded. Failure to use funds for the purpose designated will result in obligation to repay grant money.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants are teachers working in Jay County, Indiana.

The Foundation is very reluctant to provide funding for on-going projects, projects that have been funded through this program in the past and materials and projects that could reasonably be expected to be included in school budgets. However, exceptions to this may be made at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Pre-Application Information:

- The Foundation Board considers teacher mini-grants twice a year – in February and August.
- Completed applications must be received at the Foundation office by 5:00 p.m. on:
- January 10, 2020 for consideration in February
- June 15, 2020 for consideration in August
