Scholarships to Wisconsin college students in eligible locations to attend travel or study abroad programs in Israel. This program is open to local residents between the ages of 18 and 30. The purpose of this program is to help local teens and young adults strengthen their Jewish identity and build a lasting relationship with Israel. Eligible applicants are residents of the Milwaukee metropolitan area or students who have graduated from a Milwaukee area high school and who are now attending an institution of higher learning in the State of Wisconsin.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The maximum scholarship available for program participants is $2,500.

Term of Contract:

Programs must take please between January 1, 2021, and May 31 2022.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Residents of the Milwaukee metropolitan area or students who have graduated from a Milwaukee area high school
- Are now attending an institution of higher learning in the State of Wisconsin
- Ages 18-30
- Participating in MASA approved Israel travel/study programs

Funding is not available for peer educational programs.

Domestic flight expenses, travel insurance or personal expenses are not covered by the scholarships.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications for programs starting June 1, 2021 – May 31, 2022 are due on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Upon the applicant’s return to his/her community, the applicant is expected to share his/her experiences through written and/or oral presentations, and to participate in Jewish communal activities in the Milwaukee area.

Scholarship funds are sent directly to the sponsoring organization, not the applicant.
