Grant Description
Scholarships of up to $2,500 to Wisconsin youth and young adults in eligible regions to offset the costs of traveling and studying in Israel. Funding is intended to strengthen participants' Jewish identities and relationships with Israel. Scholarship funds must be used towards the cost of the approved Israel program. Applicants must be residents of the Milwaukee metropolitan area or students who have graduated from a Milwaukee area high school who are now attending an institution of higher learning in the State of Wisconsin.

Funding is awarded based on many factors, including a demonstration of need.

Upon the applicant’s return to his/her community, the applicant is expected to share his/her experiences through written and/or oral presentations, and to participate in Jewish communal activities in the Milwaukee area.

Eligibility
- Residents of the Milwaukee metropolitan area or students who have graduated from a Milwaukee area high school
- Currently attending an institution of higher learning in the State of Wisconsin
- Ages 18-30
- Participating in MASA-approved Israel travel/study programs

Ineligible
Domestic flight expenses, travel insurance, or personal expenses are not covered by the scholarships.

Funding is not available for peer educational programs.

Pre-Application Information
Applications for programs starting in the 2023-2024 school year are due on Monday, May 1, 2023.

Scholarship funds are sent directly to the sponsoring organization, not the applicant.

Estimated Size of Grant
The maximum scholarship available for program participants is $2,500.

Term of Contract
Program Year: June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024
