Grant Description
Grants and in-kind support to Massachusetts groups in eligible locations to support community beautification efforts. Funding is intended for activities that improve local neighborhoods, including but not limited to park improvements, streetscaping, and creating green space. Activities must benefit communities within the City of Boston.

Love Your Block Mini-Grants help transform physical landscapes with social programs that highlight the culture of a community.

Do you have an idea for a project to bring your community together and improve your neighborhood? You are encouraged to submit a proposal for a community project for the chance to win grant funding and supplemental City services. The funding will allow winners to purchase necessary supplies to engage their neighbors and transform their neighborhoods.

Possible projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating green space: pocket parks, community gardens or vacant lot cleanups
  • Streetscaping: Planting trees or flowers along streets, creating new art on blank spaces, and
  • Park improvements: Installing benches and play equipment, repairing and repainting existing facilities.
