Grants to Massachusetts nonprofit organizations serving Wellesley and the greater Metrowest area for programs that benefit the community. Past grants have funded various programs areas including education, healthcare, seniors, community, and civics. The Foundation places particular emphasis is placed on programs that serve the Wellesley community or Wellesley residents.
The WHJWC strives to provide funds that will make a significant impact on individuals and communities, aiming to support specific programmatic efforts as opposed to general operating expenses.
Past grants have helped fund uniforms and equipment for the Wellesley Raiders Cheer Squad, helped fund the Plugged In Band program to provide music education for children as well as those with special needs, provided vital funds for the Wellesley Food Pantry to purchase food, and helped provide funding for mental health medicine and security deposits for housing and summer camp for children to One Can Help, an organization helping children and parents involved in the juvenile court system.

Applications must be postmarked or emailed by February 1, 2018.
Following the grant review process, applicants will receive written notification of the committee’s decision by the end of May, regardless of whether they are awarded a grant or not. Awards are distributed in early June.
