Nellie McClung Foundation
Award of $2,000 to a Manitoba woman emerging artist, or a collective of women artists, for social justice projects that engage the community. Award funding is intended to assist in the development of new work. The award aims to enable women to address social justice issues through art.

The work must be completed within two years.
A woman, or an artistic collective of women, working in any artistic genre is eligible if she/they meet the following criteria:
- Manitoba residency;
- Emerging artistic practice; and
- The proposed artistic work engages with community to explore or illuminate social justice issues.
The deadline date is December 15, 2017. Artists, or artist collectives may apply, as well as be nominated.
To nominate an artist, complete the Nomination Form A. Ensure the artist has signed the nomination form agreeing to be nominated for the award.
If you are an artist and would like to apply: complete the Application Form B.
For both applications, include two letters of support.
Mail or submit the nomination form and two letters of support to the Manitoba Arts Council. Faxed or emailed nomination forms are not accepted.
The Award decision will be announced to all nominators and applicants and posted on the website of the Nellie McClung Foundation and/or the Manitoba Arts Council, date TBD.
