Grants averaging $5,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations in multiple counties for human services, health education, and wellness programs, especially those that directly benefit underserved populations. Applicants must submit an LOI prior to submitting a full application. Eligible counties include Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll, and Tuscarawas Counties.

Special consideration will be given to proposed projects which provide services to the underserved, especially the elderly and children, and/or helps to solve a community health need from the Community Health Needs Assessment. Currently the community health needs are mental health, obesity, infant mortality, opioid and drug abuse, and access to care.

The average grant awarded is $5,000.

Term of Contract:

The project period begins in July 2020.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Your nonprofit must be a 501(c)3;
- If your agency has been funded in the last 12 months, you must wait a year to apply again;
- If your agency has been previously funded, you must have completed the required mid-year and final reports.

The Aultman Foundation does not fund individuals, capital needs or campaigns, annual campaigns, multi-year projects, endowments, or government entities including public school systems.

Pre-Application Information:

Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for the 2020 grant round will be accepted Jan. 2, 2020 through Feb. 14, 2020.

You should receive a reply within 7 days of submitting your LOI (10 days for hard copy LOIs). If you do not receive a reply within this time period, please contact Jennifer Penso by using the contact information below.

If your project fits TAF guidelines, you will be emailed a link to access the online grant proposal system. Otherwise, you will be told why your proposal does not fit the guidelines and could not be accepted.

Note that full proposals are by invitation only. The full application must be completed by Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.

Please keep in mind that the grant review process lasts approximately four months. When planning your timeline, take in to account that your project cannot begin before July.
