Grant Description

Award of $10,000 to an Indiana board member of a nonprofit organization that serves the residents of eligible communities. This program recognizes an individual board member whose management skills and strategic planning abilities have contributed to the financial stability, general effectiveness, and mission-specific achievements of the organization that he or she serves. Nonprofit organizations must serve Delaware County residents.

Nominations should identify specific ways the board member has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the organization.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit organizations based in Delaware County can nominate candidates for the John W. and Janice B. Fisher Governance Award. Each nominee should have served on the board of the organization for a minimum of two years. Please be specific in describing when and how the candidate provided exemplary leadership and exhibited integrity, responsibility, and accountability.

Pre-Application Information:

Nominations are accepted between March 1 and August 15 each year. Nominations must be submitted by 4 p.m. August 15. Ball Brothers Foundation staff and family board members review the nominations, make the selection in September, and present the $10,000 award in October.
