Grants to West Virginia local, State, and tribal agencies, LEAs, schools, and school districts for non-traditional surface transportation related projects that promote community development. Applicants must submit an LOI by January 15 to be eligible to apply.
Eligible projects include sidewalk construction, bicycle infrastructure, pedestrian and bicycle signals, traffic calming techniques, lighting and other safety related infrastructure, conversion of abandoned railroad corridors for trails for pedestrians, bicyclists or other non-motorized transportation users, construction of turnouts, overlooks and viewing areas, inventory, control or removal of outdoor advertising, historic preservation and rehabilitation of historic transportation facilities and environmental mitigation activities.
Estimated Size of Grant:
TAP funds are available for obligation for a period of 3 years after the last day of the fiscal year for which the funds are authorized.
