Grant Description
Grants of up to $5,000 to Nunavut nonprofit organizations, registered charities and societies, and student organizations for extracurricular science programs for youth. Funds may be used for equipment purchases and facilitator fees. The purpose of the program is to engage students in hands-on science learning, generate interest in science among students, promote careers in science and technology, and highlight science research projects within the province.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for grants under this program is restricted to not-for-profit organizations, including:
- Societies registered under the Nunavut Societies Act;
- Not-for-profit corporations registered under the Canada Corporations Act;
- Registered charities;
- Student organizations with a Lottery Licence under the Lotteries Act; or
- Student organizations with the written support of a principal, municipal council, or district education authority.

Pre-Application Information
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2023.

The percentage of eligible costs funded by this program will be 75% for Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet, Cambridge Bay and Baker Lake; 80% for decentralized communities; and 85% for all other communities.
