Grants of up to $10,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations for programs or projects that develop communities in eligible regions. Funding is intended for activities that are created and led by residents for the benefit of their neighborhoods. Projects must serve residents of Franklin County.

The intent of the program is to support Franklin County residents engaging in community building activities, programs, or projects that strengthen the fabric of local neighborhoods.

Projects should be designed and implemented by multi-person resident groups.  Proposed projects must be resident driven and supported, neighborhood specific, and are not required to be large or sophisticated for grant consideration. 

Below are examples of the types of projects that could qualify. This list should be used as a guide. Proposed projects are not limited to these examples:

  • Neighborhood beautification
  • Festivals and neighborhood activities
  • Neighborhood art projects
  • Youth services and enrichment
  • Leadership development
  • Clean and safe programs
  • Senior citizen support
  • Anti-graffiti
  • Neighborhood safety programs
  • Gateway signage
  • Neighborhood gardens

Applicants must be, or partner with, a 501(c)(3) registered agency.

Grant awarded recipients from prior years may apply for funding, but funding is not assured.

Two (2) proposals are permitted per applying group. Applicants must demonstrate capacity to execute both projects in the event that both proposals are awarded funding. Both applications will need to be submitted at the same time.

Nonprofit organizations with EIN numbers can apply directly through the online portal (e-CImpact).

If using a Fiscal Agent, email Tina Starner to request a username and password. In the email please include the organization name, and the first and last names of the primary contact. An email response with a direct link to the application website and a user name and password will be sent to the primary contact.

Neighborhood Partnership Grant funds can constitute no more than 75% of the total project budget. Proposals must detail the source(s) of the remaining 25%, whether in-kind donations/services or monetary resources.
