Grants to California Catholic elementary and high schools and organizations for arts and music education, special programs, operating support, capital requests, and programs serving wide ranging needs of the disadvantaged in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties.

Agencies serving at-risk and minority youth, families, or the elderly are of particular interest.

Eligibility:

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Qualify for tax exemption by the State in which said organization or institution is incorporated;

- Be an organization to which contributions are deductible by donors for income tax purposes, generally of the type described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 and the corresponding Sections of the 1939 Code and prior Revenue Acts;

- Be classified as a non-private foundation pursuant to the 1969 Tax Reform Acts;

- Have an annual financial audit in accordance with approved accounting practices.

Organizations who have received funding for two consecutive years must take a two year break before applying to the foundation again (this does not apply to food programs or Catholic school scholarship programs).
