Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Agencies seeking General Fund Not-For-Profit funds must be Not-For-Profit (Section 501(c)(3)) agencies providing human and/or cultural services that are essential to the health and well-being of the citizens of Peoria.

Pre-proposal Conference:

An open door Proposer’s Conference will be offered virtually on December 15, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. A link to the virtual meeting is listed below. Staff members from the City’s Neighborhood and Human Services Department, Community Assistance Division, will be available at the conference to answer questions regarding the various grants available as well as potential project eligibility. Attendance at the conference is not mandatory.

Funds are anticipated to be available in July 2021 for General Fund programs.

All applicants will be required to submit proposals utilizing ZoomGrants, an on-line, cloud based system. Applicants interested in applying for grant funding must register with ZoomGrants in order to obtain a login and access to the City’s grant applications. A link to ZoomGrants and the applications will be available on this webpage beginning January 4, 2021.

Agencies must abide by all aspects of the City of Peoria Not-For-Profit Grant Agreement. These agreements must be signed by all agencies receiving City funding to ensure the proper allocation and expenditure of public funds. Please contact Jaime Gonzalez if you would like an example of the agreement.

All agencies who apply for grant funding will be required to appear before the Council Not-For-Profit Community Development Grant Subcommittee to present its proposal(s). Proposer’s Hearings are tentatively scheduled for the week of February 22, 2021. Agencies will be notified of the exact date and time.

Preliminary funding notifications will be sent to agencies once the City’s Tentative Budget has been adopted (approximately May 2021).
