Grants of up to $1,000 to Kansas organizations and groups for programs to benefit local youth in eligible locations. Priority will be given to projects that involve youth in the development and implementation process. Eligible proposals are those that benefit young people in Reno County.

The Youth Philanthropy Council will offer grants for projects that (one or more):

  • Are created and/or directed by youth with appropriate organizational supervision.
  • Promote the healthy development of children and youth.
  • Introduce children and youth to the fine arts or support their participation in the arts.
  • Provide opportunities for youth to give back to the community through meaningful service.
  • Build positive relationships between youth and adults.
  • Have a realistic budget and solid plans.

Grant requests up to $1,000 will be considered.

Term of Contract:

Grant-funded activities are to be completed between March 6 and Oct. 31, 2022.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Groups and organizations offering programs in Reno County beneficial to youth may apply.

Timeline:
- Submission deadline for 2022 proposals is noon Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. Hand delivery is acceptable. Applications can also be mailed but must be received by the 14th.
- All applicants will be notified of the Youth Philanthropy Council’s decisions in late February 2022.
- Grant recipients will be invited to an award celebration on March 6, 2022.

Council members will review each application and may ask to meet with representatives of the applicant organization, including youth representatives.
