Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $1,000 to New York nonprofit organizations in eligible communities for programs addressing specific, urgent local needs. Funding is intended for a wide range of activities and is generally limited to program enhancements and special projects. Projects must benefit residents of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers.

Generally the approved grants range from $150 to $1,000.

Term of Contract:

Grants are made on a one-time basis.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible Applicants:
- The requesting agency must be a 501(c)(3) organization that benefits the service area of the Junior League of Bronxville’s service area.

Ineligible:
- Grants are not made for the purpose of salaries or to provide general operating support for the agency.
- The Fund is not a vehicle for on-going support.

Pre-Application Information:

Timeline:
- The completed application and related documents must be submitted electronically to the JLB by January 31, 2021.
- All applying agencies will be notified of the decision of the JLB by March 15, 2021.
- Upon return of the signed Letter of Agreement from the Agency to the JLB, funds will be disbursed by check at the Service & Scholarship Celebration, where grant recipients are invited to attend and will be acknowledged, on Thursday April 29, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Checks will be mailed in the event of cancellation of the meeting or if no representative of your agency is able to attend.
- If the JLB grants a portion of the funds requested for a specific purchase or program enhancement, the grant will be contingent upon proof that the applicant has secured total funding prior to April 1, 2021.

Only one application per organization will be considered.
