Grant Description
Grants of up to $1,500 to New York nonprofit organizations for programs that address specific, critical needs in eligible communities. Funding is intended for a wide range of activities and is usually limited to capital expenditures, such as special projects and program enhancements. Projects must benefit residents of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers.


Additional Eligibility Criteria
The requesting agency must be a 501(c)3 organization that benefits the communities of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and/or Yonkers (The JLB Service Area).

- Grants are not made for the purpose of salaries or to provide general operating support for the agency.
- The Fund is not a vehicle for ongoing support.

Pre-Application Information
The deadline to apply is November 1, 2023.

A committee will review the submissions and announce the selected recipients in February 2024.

Only one application per organization will be considered. Upon return of the signed Letter of Agreement from the Agency to the JLB, funds will be disbursed by check by March 15, 2024.

Estimated Size of Grant
Generally, the approved grants range from $150 to $1,500.

Term of Contract
Grants are made on a one-time basis.
