Grant Description

Grants of up to $10,000 to Illinois nonprofit organizations for humanitarian programs in eligible regions. Funding is intended to support programs that address the basic needs of the underprivileged. Eligible projects include those that focus on physical and mental health, education, safety and shelter, sanitation, and well-being items such as food and clothing. Distributions must benefit Naperville and the surrounding area.

Any need that sends a person from poverty to a crisis situation is considered a basic humanitarian need. The focus is on organizations with low fundraising and administrative expenses.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Each applicant must be a 501(c)3 organization.

- No distributions are made to individuals, political groups or for political activities, or to Rotarians or their families.
- No awards are made to foundations or other endowment funds which retain the monies.

Pre-Application Information:

Completed applications must be received by March 11th, 2022 at 11:59 pm.

Notifications and Distributions are typically finalized before the end of the Rotary year (June 30th).

Term of Contract:

Awards are made for the current Rotary year only. There are no multi-year commitments. Annual requests are required.
