Grant Description
Grants to New York nonprofit organizations and government agencies to enhance comprehensive HIV, STD, and HCV programs. Questions regarding the RFA are due by March 31. LOIs are due by April 26. Recipients will implement proven high-impact prevention strategies and innovative interventions for HIV-positive and high-risk negative women, with a focus on communities of color.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Grants are made to not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations, including community-based organizations, tribal organizations, counties and government entities providing human services proposing to serve one of the eligible regions.

Pre-Application Information
Timeline:
-Questions Due: March 31, 2016 by 6:00 PM ET
-Questions, Answers and Updates Posted (on or about): April 14, 2016
-Letter of Intent Due: April 26, 2016
-Applications Due: May 4, 2016 by 6:00 PM EST
-Anticipated Award Date: August 1, 2016

All substantive questions must be submitted in writing: womensrfa@health.ny.gov. All questions submitted should state “Women’s Prevention RFA” in the subject line. To the degree possible, each inquiry should cite the RFA section and paragraph to which it refers. Written questions will be accepted until the date posted on the cover of this RFA.

NYSDOH/HRI encourages, but does not require, prospective applicants to submit a Letter of Intent to apply. Letters of intent should be submitted via the Grants Gateway in the Pre-Submission Uploads section of the online application. A copy should also be emailed to: womensrfa@health.ny.gov.

Please note that applicants must be qualified on the Grants Gateway portal (if not exempt) on the date applications are due.
