Community Foundation Boulder County - Jared Polis Foundation Gift Fund

Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to Colorado nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of high-quality education, access to health care, environmental awareness and protection, and healthy and diverse communities. Letters of Intent are due by February 7, 2018.
More details on the program areas are as follows:
Access to High-Quality Education:
Includes early childhood, K-12, and post-secondary education, with a focus on programs that serve at-risk, underserved, and out of school youth.
Includes programs that promote economically self-sufficient families and individuals; organizations that promote inclusion and provide support to individuals experiencing hardship and challenges due to homelessness, ethnicity and race, sexual orientation, military service, disabilities, and aging.
Environmental Protection and Awareness:
Includes programs that provide environmental education to youth and adults, and promote environmental protection and preservation.
Access to healthcare:
Includes programs with a focus on low-income, underinsured, or uninsured children and individuals.
Grants awarded will be the following types of requests:
- General Operating Support
- Project/Program Support*
- Challenge/Matching Support
*Note: It is recommended that new prospective grantees apply for program support. If your organization has received support in 2009 through 2017, then you may choose to apply for general operating support. However, if your organization’s general operating budget is more than $1,000,000, please contact Gina Nocera prior to submitting a general operating grant request.

Grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
The JPF Gift Fund supports nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Colorado.
Grants will be given only to public charities that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Groups with 509(a)(1) and 509(a)(4) status are also eligible, since both of these designations are sub-categories of the 501(c)(3) status.
Grants are not made to the following:
- Capital improvements
- Individual Scholarship requests
- Events, annual campaigns, membership drives, or conferences
- Retirement of debt
- Legislative lobbying or support of political candidates
- Outside of the grant cycle
Note: Generally, grants are not made to organizations outside the state of Colorado. Exceptions may be made only at the discretion of the Grants Advisory Committee.

The Foundation is requesting all grantees use the revised Colorado Common Grant Application found at: http://www.coloradocommongrantforms.org.
The grant process includes a one to two-page Letter of Interest (LOI.) The grants committee will review the LOIs and respond to all interested organizations within two weeks of the LOI deadline, either inviting them to complete the Colorado Common Grant Application (CCG) or informing the organization that a full application will not be requested from them.
The JPF Gift Fund grants committee has approved designated grant cycles per focus area; please see below to note the grant cycle in which your organization may apply. If you are unsure of what focus area your organization fits best in, please contact Gina Nocera. Organizations will be notified of funding within 45 days following each CCG application deadline.
