Awards to Utah professional and student designers for original work in any design medium. The award program honors outstanding contributions to the field of design. The submitted works will be reviewed and may be included in an exhibition. Designs may be conceptual (with visuals or models), realized, or in production.

In light of the current health precautions and the ongoing restoration of the Rio Grande Depot / Rio Gallery, the Utah Division of Arts and Museums will be hosting a virtual exhibition again for 2021. As part of this celebration of design, Utah Arts and Museums will exhibit and award / recognize those projects deemed exemplary with the juror's awards in the professional and student categories. Exhibition catalogues will be designed, printed and distributed to all designers included in the exhibit.

The Designer selected as the Juror’s Award Winner will receive a $3,000 award. Two $500 student awards will also be awarded.

Term of Contract:

Virtual Exhibition - September 6 through October 15, 2021.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

This juried exhibition opportunity is open to professional and post-secondary student designers residing in Utah working in any design medium.
