Arizona Historical Society (AHS)
Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 to Arizona researchers to support advanced work in the areas of history, government, legal or public policy, and the art. Allowable expenses include travel, living expenses, and other costs related to research. Projects that involve alternative uses of archived records, such as background research for multimedia projects, documentary films, exhibits, and historical novels are also eligible.
The topic or area of study must draw, at least in part, on the holdings of the Arizona Historical Society Archives. The Research Grant Program is intended to support work as it pertains to Arizona, the West, and northern Mexico. Preference will be given to projects that focus on little-used holdings not available electronically or on microfilm and have a high probability of publication or other public dissemination.
