Grants to Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico nonprofit organizations to support philanthropic projects in the greater El Paso region. Program areas include arts and humanities, education, environment and animals, health and disabilities, human services (basic human needs), and economic development. Funding is intended for innovative approaches to solve the problems of local communities and to meet the communities' ever evolving needs.

The El Paso region includes far west Texas, southern New Mexico, and northern Chihuahua, Mexico.

Granting Priorities:
-More effective ways of doing things – ideas that require risk-taking.
-Projects where a moderate amount of grant money can have an impact.
-Projects that show collaboration with other organizations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The El Paso Community Foundation and its supporting organizations respond to the needs of nonprofit organizations by providing grants in the greater El Paso region: far west Texas, southern New Mexico, and northern Chihuahua, Mexico.

The Foundation generally does not make grants to:
-Capital campaigns
-Fundraising events/projects
-Religious organizations for religious purposes
-Annual appeals and membership contributions
-Organizations that are political or partisan in purpose
-Travel for individuals or groups
-Organizations outside the greater El Paso geographic area
-Endowment Funds
-Past operating deficits

Pre-Application Information:

Application deadlines are Feb 1 and August 1. You may apply online 30 days prior to the deadline.

Nonprofit organizations can submit only one request for consideration per funding source in any 12-month period.
