Grants of up to $6,000 to Story County, Iowa nonprofit organizations and public agencies such as libraries, volunteer fire departments, schools, and universities to positively impact local residents. Possible program areas include education, arts, culture, humanities, environment, animals, health, human services, and community or society benefit.

-Program-based: Operational, activity, general programmatic support
-Capital-based: The building of or physical improvement of something

The Story County Community Foundation will award multiple grants.
Grant is a maximum of $6,000.
Projects should be completed by August 31, 2018.
Grants are made only to nonprofit organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt, nonprofit, public charities under section 501(c)(3) or a "unit of government" under Section 170(c)(1)-agencies that conduct activities to benefit the public at large. These include public schools, state universities, public libraries, and volunteer fire departments.
It is possible, if your agency does not have the IRS status, another agency holding that status can serve as a fiscal sponsor.
Applications must be submitted electronically by 5:00 PM on September 30.
Applications will be reviewed during the month of October.
Grants will be awarded in early November.
