Grants of up to $2,500 to Oregon individuals, nonprofits, and organizations to enhance arts and cultural activities in Yamhill County. Funding will be awarded for initiatives that increase cultural awareness and participation. Submissions are encouraged from new applicants.

Preference will be given to new and innovative cultural opportunities.

Yamhill County Cultural Coalition Priorities:

Priority One: Promote cultural activities and organizations
The Coalition will consider grants for projects that promote, maintain, or expand existing cultural activities, organizations, or education throughout the County

Priority Two: Encourage interdisciplinary activities
The Coalition will consider grants for projects that blend aspects of the arts, heritage, and humanities.

Priority Three: Increase intra-County communication
The Coalition will consider grants for projects that tend to increase linkage and communication among cultural resources within the County, and between those resources and potential audiences.

Priority Four: Cultivate County assets
The Coalition will consider grants for projects that incorporate under-used County assets, including Yamhill County landscapes, into cultural lives.

Priority Five: Broaden cultural opportunities
The Coalition will consider grants for projects that broaden cultural opportunities for diverse and underserved County populations.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant requests may not exceed $2,500.

Term of Contract:

All grant projects must be completed by December 31, 2019.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Individuals and organizations may apply.

Nonprofit status (IRS 501c3) is not required to qualify for funding.

YCCC encourages submissions from new applicants and looks for variety and innovation in cultural opportunities. Individuals and organizations who have been awarded a grant/s in the past may apply; however, applications for previously funded projects will receive lower priority.

Grant funds may not be used for:

- Scholarships, conferences, seminars, travel
- Operating costs - including staff positions, except as a viable crisis recovery plan
- Projects advocating for political, religious, labor, fraternal, sports groups
- Fundraising efforts that do not support YCCC priorities
- Institutional benefits, general endowments, honorary functions.
- Projects that have been completed prior to the grant period which begins in January of the grant year.

Pre-Application Information:

YCCC offers competitive matching grant awards. YCCC can fund up to 50% of a project’s total cost. The applicant must secure the balance of funding for the project. Matching support may consist of cash and/or donated (in-kind) services or materials.

One copy of the completed grant application and all supporting documents must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2018.

The YCCC Grants Committee will review all applications for completeness and consistency with the YCCC cultural plan priorities and goals. The Committee forwards its recommendations to the full Board for final approval and grant awards will be announced in early December 2018.
