Wholistic Peace Institute - Harold and Arlene Schnitzer CARE Foundation
Awards of $500 to Oregon K-12 schools and school-affiliated, student-led intiatives for projects that focus on world peace. Funding is awarded for intiatives in the areas of conflict resolution, mediation, peacemaking, promotion of human and civil rights, bullying and gang violence reduction in schools, and diversity and tolerance. Funding is also provided for Nobel Peace Laureate education.

Awards are for Oregon K-12 schools or school-affiliated, student-led school initiatives on peace, human and civil rights, diversity or equity, study of a Nobel Peace Laureate, and humanitarian service activities that make the schools, communities, or world a more peaceful and better place.
Applications are being accepted until September 15, 2018. Early consideration applications for schools desiring to be a host school for the assembly with the World Peace Maker as their Guest and Keynote Speaker must be received with a statement of interest by June 15, 2018.
Selection Committee will announce the top ten schools and contact them in late October 2018. Award Winners Will Need To Attend an Award Ceremony and Present Their Winning Idea To An Audience in an Assembly in mid-November.
