Grants to Laclede County, Missouri nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies to address the root causes of poverty and promote community awareness. For the current grant round, funding may be requested for programs that address basic needs, such as shelter, food, social services, disaster relief, transportation, literacy, mental health counseling, services for the elderly, and opportunities for the disabled.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

An eligible organization must be a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization or a school, government or other such entity recognized by the state or federal government as a nonprofit organization (a copy of the letter substantiating your not-for-profit status is required).

All Community Cares funding must be used for Laclede County, Missouri residents.

Brick and mortar projects are not eligible for Community Cares grants.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Lebanon Area Foundation is hosting two free grant workshops to assist those who are interested in applying for the 2020 Community Cares Grants.

These workshops will be held at the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce located at 186 N. Adams Ave. in Lebanon.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be accepted through August 31, 2019.

This year, August 31st is a Saturday. If you are hand-delivering the application documents, they must be brought to the office by 5:00 PM on Friday, August 30th to be considered. If mailing to the PO Box, it must be postmarked by August 31, 2019 and if you are submitting the application documents electronically, they must be submitted before midnight on Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Payments will be disbursed in January, April, July, and October 2020.
