Akron Community Foundation and Akron Beacon Journal
Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit children living in Summit, Portage, Medina, Stark, Wayne, and Cuyahoga counties. Funding is intended for projects in the areas of arts, civic, education, health, and human services. Grants are made where even a small amount can make a big difference. The Funding Source places priority on local programs that deeply impact children, including backpacks filled with food for hungry students, and holiday gifts for neglected and abused children.

Applications open 30 days prior to the deadline. Applications are accepted August 1 to September 1.
