Grants of $10,000 and grants of $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to serve bereaved youth and their families during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The purpose of this program is to provide general operating support to organizations providing bereavement services to children under the age of 25.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Organizations with an annual budget of over $250,000 can apply for the $25,000 grants and organizations with an annual budget of over $100,000 can apply for the $10,000 grants.

Term of Contract:

One-year grants

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applications will be accepted from nonprofit organizations who are currently providing childhood bereavement services, who are current NAGC members, and who are not in a current grief reach funding cycle. 
- Organizations applying for these competitive grants must be 501(c)(3) organizations and will be required to submit their Employer Identification Number (EIN) to verify their status.
- This competitive grant program is limited to those organizations that serve bereaved children and youth.
- Applicants for this grant program must serve at least 50 percent—of low-income youth and/or minority children. 
- An organization who is currently receiving a grief reach grant are ineligible to apply. Current grants must be completed, and final reports turned in prior to applying for a new grief reach grant. 
- Special consideration will be given to projects that are focused on providing resources for families affected by the opioid crisis with their grant proposal.
