Grants of up to $6,500 and grants of up to $13,000 to California nonprofit organizations for programs and projects benefiting the communities of Geyserville and Healdsburg. Funding is intended to support operational and programmatic expenses in the areas of youth development and education, health and human services, environmental education, and arts education.
The Foundation will seek opportunities to align Healdsburg Forever grants in in Health & Human Services and Youth Development & Education with the county-wide collective impact initiatives Health Action and Cradle to Career programs for maximum impact. Grants in Health & Human Services and Youth Development & Education will continue to be prioritized, but Healdsburg Forever will seek to fund across the four program areas in order to support a sustainable and inclusive community in which all individuals have the opportunity to thrive.
Criteria specific to Health & Human Services and Education & Youth Development applicants:
- Addresses a significant problem that affects the lives of individuals in the communities served
- Meets essential human needs for food, shelter, employment, health care and education
- Serves an underserved population
Criteria specific to Arts Education and Environmental Education applicants:
- Provides direct arts/environmental education experiences
- Reduces barriers to participation, i.e., service hours, waiting lists, financial limitations, language/cultural differences, disabilities, geography, or transportation.
- Curriculum is delivered by qualified staff
- Provides multiple exposures to the curriculum (such as visits, lessons, or other engagement opportunities)
