Grants to North Dakota public K-12 teachers, schools, and post-secondary institutions to enhance STEM programming for students throughout the state. Funding is intended to provide new and original science, technology, engineering, or math education for K-12 students. Preference will be given to activities and programs that involve robotics competitions.

Activities - Proposals could focus on, but are not limited to: FIRST Robotics (FLL, FTC, FRC), VEX Robotics and other innovative programs relating to STEM.

Mini-Grant: Maximum amount of $2,000

K-12 Matching Grant: Maximum amount of $3,500

Post-Secondary Matching Grant: Maximum amount is $7,200.

Term of Contract:

Funding Period: July 1, 2021 to June 1, 2022

Projects may begin upon approval and must be completed no later than June 1, 2022.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible Recipients: Public elementary or secondary teachers or public schools and public institutions of higher education.
- Mini-Grant and K-12 Matching Grant: These grants will be available to public K-12 teachers and/or public schools.
- Post-Secondary Matching Grant: This grant will be available to public post-secondary institutions.

Pre-Application Information:

Proposal Deadline: Must be received in the CTE office by September 18, 2021.

Matching funds:
- Mini-Grant: This is a non-matching grant.
- K-12 Matching Grant and Post-Secondary Matching Grant: These grants will require a detailed budget showing a dollar-for-dollar match for the requested funding from CTE. Dollar-for-dollar matching funds for grant recipients may come from public sources, private sources, or any combination of public and private sources.
