Foundation / Corporation
12/01/17 - For Hunger Relief and Healthy Eating Services Only
Grants starting at $10,000 to Arkansas nonprofits in Benton and Washington counties for community benefit programs. Funding is intended for the focus areas of access to nutritional services, hunger relief, access to health care (with emphasis on front-line oral and health care), and enhancing the quality of life through increasing access to arts and recreational facilities.
Focus Area Details:
Hunger relief and healthy eating services:
The Foundation funds programs that systematically connect people to healthy food, teach healthy eating skills, and develop innovative collaborations among local nonprofits to meet long-term needs.
Access to health care:
In efforts to provide access to health care, particularly access to front-line health and dental care, the Foundation funds programs that identify and address barriers to access. This may include increasing the number of medical professionals in the region or growing institutional capacity to meet the demand.
Quality of Life:
The Foundation believes that arts and recreation amenities in the region improve the quality of life for local residents, and will fund programs that focus on ensuring that all people in the region have access to these amenities, regardless of income. Event sponsorship requests are also included in the Quality of Life category.
