Grants to Connecticut nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals in eligible locations for arts programming and operating support. Applicants submitting proposals for certain projects must submit an LOI prior to applying. Funding is intended to support projects, events, or performances, including but not limited to the mediums of dance, music, theatre, visual arts, design arts, crafts, photography, media, literature, folklife/traditional arts, and the humanities. Eligible programs benefit the residents of Middletown.
The MCA is particularly interested in proposals that reach the City’s children and youth population as well as residents in all of the community’s diversity. Creatives are encouraged to design and implement community art and culture related programming that promotes and fosters an audience of art appreciators, community engagements, and cultural learning experiences.
Types of Grants:
A. General Operating Support: Funding support toward the general operations of non-profit arts organizations in any amount.
B. Project Support Grant: Funding support toward a specific art project presentation by either an organization, business, or an individual.
The organization’s programming or project must meet all of the following criteria:

Multiyear grants are not funded.
