Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (CAEC)
Grants ranging from $250 to $1,500 to Central Alabama public and private school teachers and teacher teams for classroom education programming that cannot be covered by traditional school budgets. Proposals can be for projects in all subjects and are intended to help teachers develop a better-educated workforce within CAEC's service area. The grants are designed to help teachers introduce innovative teaching methods.
Eligible teachers are those located in the funding source's service area, which covers most of the rural areas of Autauga, Elmore, Coosa and Chilton Counties, as well as Tallapoosa, Talladega, Bibb, Perry, Dallas and Lowndes Counties.

Individual teachers can apply for grants from $250 to $750, while teams of teachers are eligible for grants up to $1,500.
Projects must be completed by the end of the school year for which the grant is requested.
Teachers in public and private schools, K-12 and home school associations in CAEC’s service area are eligible to participate.
Grants are not intended for equipment or capital investments (ex: IPads, tablets, computers, printers, projectors, playgrounds) unless the equipment is used in conjunction with a creative initiative.
Applications must be postmarked by November 16, 2018.
Grants are awarded annually in a competitive evaluation process and applications are awarded in January.
Only one application per project per school will be accepted.
