Grants ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 to Edmonton, Alberta nonprofit organizations to promote the economic success of young people by improving education. Funding may be requested for specific initiatives involving literacy in grades K-3, learning engagement in grades 8-10, and helping young adults complete high school, postsecondary degrees, apprenticeships, and other learning pathways that will result in employment.

The initiative must:
-Directly support ECEC’s focus.
-Take a root cause, sustainable approach.
-Support a socially-vulnerable demographic.
-Provide opportunities to engage EPCOR employees (e.g. volunteerism).
-Provide opportunities to expose children or youth to career possibilities or employment training (e.g. interview skills, resume writing).

Requests fall within the range of $40,000 - $60,000.

Funds must be applied within one year of being granted.

The organizations must be a federally-registered charitable organization for a minimum of one year.
