Grant to a Washington, DC nonprofit organization, for-profit enterprise, IHE, or government agency to operate a program that reduces pollution caused by auto body repair shops and mechanics. An informational meeting is scheduled for October 21. Questions will be accepted up to one week prior to the deadline.

The selected agent will provide onsite technical assistance and administer certifications in order to reduce land, air, and stormwater pollution.

The initial award will be up to $110,992.

The grant may be extended an additional two years with an additional $150,000, depending upon the performance of the Grantee and the availability of funds.

Term of Contract:

The project period is from the date of the grant award through September 30, 2018, with a possible two-year extension.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The following entities may apply for these grants:
-Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
-Government agencies;
-Universities/educational institutions; and
-Private Enterprises.

Pre-proposal Conference:

An informational meeting/conference call and opportunity for question and answers will be held on October 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Pre-Application Information:

The cut-off date for receipt of any questions is one week prior to the application deadline.

Applications are due by November 7, 2016, 4:30 PM.

DOEE expects to notify each Applicant in writing of its award status within six weeks after the application due date.

Grant funds related to work performed will be provided on a reimbursement basis, except that an advance of funds may be provided for grant administration expenses in limited circumstances for good cause approved by DOEE at its sole discretion.
