Grants of up to $10,000 to Tucson Area, Arizona nonprofit organizations to address literacy, education, nutrition, and basic human needs for people of all ages. While organizations are not required to be located within the funding source’s service area, the program must serve funding source communities. The funding source’s districts are organized by zip code as follows:

$40,000

Up to $10,000.

Grants will be made for a single year.

Organizations must be tax-exempt according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code.

Organizations must benefit children and adults living in Trico’s service area. Organizations do not need to be located in Trico’s service area in order to be considered.

Refer to the Trico Service Area Map (see guidelines attached below) for information on service area boundaries.

Restrictions:
In general, Trico POWER grants are not intended to benefit the following:
-Religious, fraternal or social organizations
-Individuals
-Adult sports
-Capital improvements such as land purchase, building construction, major building modifications, etc.
-Programs or agencies that expend more than 50% of their budget outside of the Trico service area
-Political or partisan organizations or candidates
-Endowments or foundations
-Travel funds

Grant applications must be received at Trico’s offices by December 9, 2016 at 4:30 PM.

The 2017 POWER Grants will be awarded in January 2017.

Completed applications must be physically received by 4:30 PM, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Trico’s office. Faxes or emails will not be accepted.
