Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to USA full-time preK-12 teachers in multiple states for projects that promote student achievement through the creative use of technology. Applications are invited from teachers in funding source service areas, and the following corporate locations: Ouachita Parish, Louisiana; Johnson County, Kansas; St. Louis County, Missouri; and Tulsa County, Oklahoma.

The CenturyLink Teachers and Technology Grant Program is a competitive grant open to full-time classroom teachers in a PreK-12 public, private or charter school in EITHER a CenturyLink residential service area or one of the following Corporate locations: Ouachita Parish, LA; Johnson County, KS; Tulsa County, OK or St. Louis County, MO.
Eligible States include: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming
The applicant must be the teacher who will be executing the grant and using the requested items in their classroom.
Applications should not be submitted by principals, grant writers, technology coordinators, school-board members, PTOs, parents or anyone other than the teacher that will be executing the grant.
If unsure if a school is in a CenturyLink residential service area; visit the website and enter the school address to verify if CenturyLink services are provided there.
Applicants will be required to sign a certification document stating that they have no role in the purchasing decisions for the school or school district's technology or telecommunication services.
Previous applicants may apply on an annual basis.
- The application window for the 2018-2019 CenturyLink Teachers and Technology Grants is:
October 1, 2018 – January 12, 2019 (Midnight - Eastern Time).
- Grant recipients will be notified with a surprise check presentation in their schools between April 1 and May 15, 2019.
- All other applicants will receive a decline email on May 16, 2019.
Please do not request notification on your grant status prior to May 16.
- Grant funds should be spent and equipment should be in place by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
Applicants are encouraged to review applications with the person in the school or district who oversees technology purchases to be sure that the application meets district or school requirements and policies before submitting the application.
