Grant of $3,000 to a USA library to provide library services, materials and facilities to underserved children from birth to age 14. Funding can be used to start new programs or to expand coverage for existing programs. These special population children may include those who are in a non-traditional school environment, those who have learning or physical differences, those who live in foster care settings, those who speak English as a second language and those who are in the juvenile justice system.



The project must be administered between June 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018.

Applicant must be a member of the American Library Association and include membership number. More information regarding membership may be found here:

Members of the ALSC LSSPCC Committee and their libraries are not eligible to apply.

Winners will be announced via a press release on the ALSC website in February/March.
