Grants to Central Illinois nonprofit organizations and educational institutions for a range of health-related projects that benefit communities within the funding source’s service area. Proposals may fall under the categories of education, research, and patient care. Program areas are described as follows:

Patient Care:
Providing the highest quality patient care is a priority for Memorial Health System. The Foundation supports advances in patient care related services and acquisition of equipment to help ensure the best possible healthcare is provided.

Education:
Education plays an integral role in healthcare. Memorial is committed to providing healthcare education by supporting and advancing career development. The Foundation awards grants for educational seminars, conferences, research projects and materials that further educate the workforce to provide for the healthcare needs of Memorial’s community. Grants are also provided for health-related education for patients, their families and others in the local community.

Research:
The Foundation has a long history of supporting medical research projects that explore new advances in medicine and enhance patient care.

Term of Contract:

Non-research grants last one year from date of award. Extensions will not be granted.

Research grants involving human or animal subjects last two years from date of award. Extensions will not be granted.

Absent extraordinary circumstances, awarded grants have an effective date of June 1.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The grants are available to central Illinois organizations with 501(c)(3) classifications or educational institutions in communities served by Memorial Health System and whose healthcare missions are aligned with our organization.

Grants are not awarded to individuals.

Pre-Application Information:

Research projects MUST include a copy of any necessary Institutional Review Board approval as well as any other pertinent authorizations. Failure to do so will result in rejection of the application.

The deadline for filing an application is 5:00 PM on February 1. If that date falls on a weekend, the deadline shall be the first business day thereafter.

Your paper copy must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2018 or physically received at the Foundation office by 5:00 PM February 1, 2018; AND your electronic copy must be received by 5:00 PM, February 1, 2018.

Applicants will be notified in May.
