Grants of up to $1,000 to Hawaii public school teachers to implement environmental education projects. Examples of previously funded projects include the purchase of garden supplies, vermicompost training, and eco-footprint workshops. Teachers may apply individually or in teams.

Financial assistance is limited to $1,000 per school, per year and $200 per teacher.

Projects may take place during the 2016 - 2017 school year.

Teachers from Hawai’i public schools can apply.

The deadline for all grant applications for the school year is March 1, 2017. No applications for the 2016-17 school year will be accepted after this date.

Applications must be submitted at least two months before to your project start date. Applicants are encouraged to apply early in order to facilitate a smoother project planning process.
